Mental Health Treatment
Mental health treatment built for whole-person recovery in New Jersey
Our Tinton Falls clinicians treat anxiety, depression, trauma, and PTSD alongside substance use, because healing one without the other rarely holds.
Why it matters
Mental health and addiction rarely travel alone
Most people who come to Archangel Centers are dealing with more than one thing at once. Anxiety makes sleep impossible, so someone reaches for a drink. Depression drains motivation, and opioids temporarily fill the gap. Trauma sits underneath both. Our clinical team treats the whole picture: the substance use and the mental health condition driving it. When both are addressed together, outcomes improve dramatically compared to treating either in isolation.
We offer evidence-based therapies including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), woven into our PHP, IOP, outpatient, and virtual programs so every level of care includes real mental health support, not just check-box sessions.
Clinical approaches
Evidence-based therapies we use
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
CBT teaches you to identify the thoughts that drive harmful patterns, then practice skills to change them. It is one of the most thoroughly researched approaches for anxiety, depression, and addiction.
Explore cognitive behavioral therapy →Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
DBT builds four core skill sets: mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness. It is especially effective for people who experience intense emotions or struggle with self-destructive behavior.

Dual diagnosis care
When addiction and mental health overlap
Many people arrive at Archangel Centers having been told their mental health symptoms are "just the addiction talking." Sometimes that is partly true. Often it is not. Our clinical team conducts thorough dual diagnosis assessments so you get the right diagnosis, then the right treatment, for both what is happening in your brain chemistry and what is happening with substance use. Learn more about our integrated approach on the dual diagnosis treatment page.
This integrated model means your therapist, psychiatrist, and case manager all share the same picture of you, updating your care plan as you move through PHP, IOP, and outpatient so nothing falls through the cracks between levels.
